Open tunel to put back the engine

just want to know if any try to open the tunel a bit to put a 5.0l lil more back?

If any done that please send me some picture...

Anyone who has done the rearward mounted V8R LSX swap had to open up the trans tunne and fire wall to accommodate the bell housing. Check out the Flyin Miata build thread. You can probably find some pictures there.

The thing holding the 5.0 from going back any further is the driver's side head. Mine sits about 1/8 from the firewall. To move the engine back any further you'd have to cut out room in the firewall to accommodate the head and valve cover and then box it back in. The tunnel is not really the issue.
