Monster powertrain lugging at mid RPMs...help!
Fellas, bought a Monster a year ago with Ford 5.0/T5/7.5 powertrain. The car lugs mildly at mid rpm's (approx 2000-3000) if cruising (not accelerating) in 2nd and 3rd gear. I have to drive around it (shift down a gear, speed up in the same gear etc).
Miata born 1994. Monster born around 2005 and has 75K miles total.
Engine is healthy across rpm range...just had dyno tuned.
Local trans shop that doesnt want to service it said possibly worn or grinding drive shaft u joints. Internet suggests possible drive shaft angle alignment to trans and diff.
Anyone have prior experience with this?
Thanks, John

Sounds to me like you need to take it back to the dyno tuner. What are the specs. on your cam? What size injectors, MAF, TB? Mine had the same problem, But a slight "tweek" fixed it.
