Default Martin Ford kit-oil capacity

I have a Martin kit and oil pan and am using a shorter than normal oil filter. I put in 5 qts, and was way overfilled according to the dipstick. How much oil are you all putting in your Martin builds?

Thanks,

Jason

Hi Jason,
I read somewhere that Martin says 5 qts. Just re-mark the stick with a scribed line or a punch. Mine only reads slightly over full.

I worry about the crank frothing/aerating the oil if the level is too high.

I checked with Martin. Pan capacity does not change so he said to go by hash marks on stick.

Thanks!
