I'm working on fitting my 5.0 and T5 into my 94 and I'm using the headman mismatched headers. On the driver side the header points straight at a tab on the bellhousing. Can I cut the tab off or will I need it for something later?

I think it holds the cable in place on a stock mustang but I can't remember.

 

That tab is on the bell right? If that’s the tab you’re referring to, then it was used for a cable actuated clutch. You won’t be needing it, though some folks use it as a spot to nut a threaded rod to pull the clutch fork forward to ease installing the trans.
