finally back to my build need help
Ok,
Finally back to finish my build after untold problems.
The car is an '02 with a Moninger Front subframe #1.
Having some problems: Fuel pressure, Have a 255lph fuel pump 3/8 lines (return and pressure. BBK rails with BBk press reg. The reg from new was bad, bbk sent me a rebuild kit which I installed. can't get the fuel press above 32#. Do I still have a bad Pressure reg? The Ford eng needs 45# press.
Engine is highly modified 306 Ford. starts and runs on the stock computer but will need "dyno tuned" would it be better and cheaper to get one of the new fuel inj. sys that "self tunes"
Anyone local to North Port Florida (Venice area) with electrical expertise that would want to hang out and help?

pump test
Hi,
Try putting a fuel pressure gauge on the pressure fuel line and see what number you get. You should see 60 psi at least. If not then the pump is bad. I put my money on the pressure reg...
Cheers
John

If you're not able to build pressure, then it's probably the pump.
Self Tuning EFI systems are sort of a myth. The self tuning part will get about 85-90% of where you want to be. That last 10-15% requires human intervention. Remember that you have to drive in all conditions to get those squares filled. Where can you drive in 5th gear at 6,000 rpm?
A dyno really is the best place for tuning. A good tuner will spend 2-3 hours on the dyno, and you're done. Except for things like cold start, post start enrichement, etc.
