Cool Engine down angle

Just out of curiosity, does anybody recall or have measured the angle their engine is installed at? Currently mine is sitting at 1.4 degrees down at the trans. I know most old V8 engines were installed around 2.0 degrees so I am not worried.

Just Curious

I just spent a whole day fiddling with my engine placement to get it where everything had enough clearance. Mine wound up at 1.0 degrees, which coincidentally matches my pinion angle.

Mine is 1 or 2 degrees, can't remember for sure. Matches pinion as well.

thanks for the replies,

I can move mine anywhere between .8 degrees to 2.0 degrees and make everything work. Just planning my trans cross member now. Don't have a full plan yet but I do plan on installing brackets on my new frame connectors and spanning the distance between. I am sure a piece of SCD 80 3" pipe and some 1" X 3" tubing will do the trick.

Thanks again
