Default EGR solenoid mount

You guys just using sheet metal screws to attach the EGR vacuum solenoid and BAP sensor to the firewall?

Also, I'm in the wiring phase right now and got a shiny new EGR solenoid, but no mounting bracket. It it ok to mount the solenoid directly to the firewall without that little "winged" bracket?

I used bolts to hold my EGR solenoid before I took all of the EGR crap off of the car & tossed it in the trash.

I'l pretty sure the rubber isolator is just so that it does not transmit noise to the car when it goes on and off. If you are worried about it put a couple of rubber washers behind it.

I've always mounted the BAP directly to the firewall right behind the intake.
