Guys,
I'm going through my recently acquired 1990 Miata 5.0 conversion and completing some of the steps that should have previously been done. I'm now trying to connect my clutch down and transmission switches to the A9L computer. there is no continuity between pins 30 and 46 with the clutch down or the transmission in neutral. I believe that I cannot retrieve codes from the computer properly plus there is some driving issues that the computer needs this information for. Do any of you guys have this stuff connected? Martin's book doesn't really go into these steps. I have, next to the Ford computer, the original Mazda ecu plugs that were abandoned. Can I tap into those and connect the clutch down switch? My T5z is one of the ones without a neutral safety switch. I'm thinking about putting a switch below the dash to compete that circuit when I want to do KOER tests. Any opinions welcomed. -Brad
