94 miata 89 mustang 5.0 A/C wiring question
I've been daily driving my V8 miata all spring, summer and fall for the last 2 years and this year I would like to get the A/C going. I have a 1994 miata that was a auto car and I put in a 1989 mustang 5.0 and t5, stock harness and ECM. I'm using a delta current control to turn the electric cooling fans on. I've done some searching and reading and came across a post https://www.v8miata.net/v8-miata-wir...s-options-158/
that MRM331 says its one wire splice under the dash.
Is that true for 1994 cars? I thought I read that the polarity needed to be changed from negative to positive with a relay. I would like to press the A/C button on the dash and have the idle increase and the fans kick on just like it should. Can anyone help me out with the wiring?

Hi Tim,
I would ensure that he EEC ECU controls the fans, that way it can move the fans to high speed when air con is on. Idle speed will be lifted by the EEC when you hit the air con button. You will need a relay to change the polarity of the signal that the EEC receives when the air con is turned ON. Well at least I did on my NB...I run the EEC V from the 5.0L ford explorer (2000)
