I am looking to buy an LS swapped NB or NC. I am slightly partial to the NC so I can use my hard top. Although I prefer the NB body. Or is someone knows where I can find a shop in North Jersey for a "budget" NC build.

Edit: By budget i am not talking small dollar, but most shops i talk to are 5k above where I am comfortable.

Bruce's on Rt46 in Rockaway can easily build it, but your budget and their budget might be two different things. What is your budget like?

 

That placement is great. I work on 46 in Rockaway. I will have to look into them. I have been quoted mid 30's recently by other shops. V8roadsters puts the job starting at 38k. I am close but I am not looking for a crate engine. I feel like with a parts change hitting my budget is not hard.

 

I am trying to look up Bruce's online and all I come up with is the speed shop which is a part store. Perhaps you could share some contact info.

 

That is the one, not only a parts store, full. custom fabrications, dyno tuning, engine building, etc and so forth. A small shop, they pick and choose what they want to work on. That is why I asked if you had a realistic budget or not. If not, don't bother calling, as they do not cut corners. In other words, either it gets done Bruce's way (the right way the first time), or he will not take on the work.

He has been doing my race cars for 20+ years, I trust him with my life.

Ok cool. I will check him out. My budget is 30k. I really don't want to put more than that in. A couple years ago I could have had it done for 25k but I know the pandemic messed that up a few ways. That being said I can go a little higher than that but 34k and I am tapped out broke need my next check for pocket cash. At 30k I will drop off the car tm.
