Don't know the car. Although pretty rough around the edges, it appears to have some good components; Trick Flow heads, T5 transmission, 8.8 rear, aluminum driveshaft.

The above said, if the price is right, and most importantly NO RUST, then it'd likely be a good platform to build a "nice" Ford powered car from. You could spend a lot of time (year'ish) and some money making it your car. I see paint, interior and lots of detailing/cleaning up the engine compartment (I'd pull the engine, paint the engine bay and do a mild wire tuck)

My questions to the owner would concern sub-frames (owner built or purchased, if so Who's), axles and rust.

If you just wanted a V8 Miata to beat on, then it's likely ready to go.
