need tranny extension housing for NA AUTOMATIC

Blew the front ujoint on my 92 automatic Miata,
can not find the transmission extension housing (as seen in pic)
that blew off when ujoint failed.
PLEASE HELP!

Is this a Mazda transmission, or is this something else that is attached to a V8?
