Wiring using a 95 SN Harness

Has anyone used a 95 SN harness in their conversion? I am using a 95 GT motor and harness. It uses a Constant control realy module which isn't in the older models. I am looking for diagrams or connection advise to pair up with the Miata conversion.

I've used a few SN95 harnesses as starting points for conversion harnesses. The CCRM is nice in that it eliminates the need to wire in a fuel pump relay and a fan relay like a fox body harness does. Find the fuel pump lead coming from the CCRM and run it to your fuel pump. Find the two fan leads (low speed and high speed) and wire them together to your fans. The kit fans (if you are using them) are not dual speed like the Mustang one was. The remaining lead is for the AC WOT shut off. It's up to you if you want to use that one.

It took me about 20 hours of tracing wires and reading diagrams and 30 pages of notes to work out a conversion solution for an SN95 harness. It's a lot more complicated than a Fox body one but much more operational once done.

Thanks Jason, It's great to have guys like you out there who are willing to share your experience with others. It makes the process much more fun. By the way great job on the General Swap Info write up!

Thanks. It's by no way complete and I'd like to see an LSx one up as well at some point. If you have anything SN95 specific please let me know so I can add it in.

The main issue I had using the SN 95 motor was I chose to use the original driveline keeping all the original Ford stuff. I had to notch the driver side frame to allow clearance for the Ford power steering unit and ac compressor. I did not have to modify the existing Miata power steering hose. I just put a flare fitting in the Ford pump and matched right up to the Miata hose. The alternator and smog pump fit perfectly on the passenger side. I put some pictures of the frame work in my gallery. I also found the hood clearance to be better by the rear of the engine because the intake plenumn is lower. I will add more as things come up.

I make mine with a 95gt, removing the miata relay and using the ford one. All works fine, but i only runner the alternator and water pump on the engine.

I completely hooked up the SN 95 mustang wiring to control everything. (Ignition,Fuel Pump/inertia sw. and Fans) I'm very happy with the way it works and it will be much easier to troubleshoot in the future
