Default Tech Rods Engine harness! A++++

Just wanted to give Credit for Jeff at Tech Rods! His harness's are awesome. perfect length and EVERYTHING is brand spanking new. I got the engine engine harness with trans harness and dual fan harness (to run miata fans with LS1 ecu) for $502 shipped to my door. I couldn't have been happier with this product. Every time I had even the smallest of question, Jeff always picked up and helped me out, even when he was on vacation! ( OPPS, LOL ).

Literally took the guess work out of it all. Highly suggest.

So does it look like they start with a factory harness or is it really all new?

The wiring and clips are ALL brand new. There is NOTHING used on them. Fuses, relays, etc are all new as well. Once you open the box, you get that instant in your face new plastic smell.

Pictures would be awesome. The kit FM uses costs ~$1100 for harness, ecu, throttle pedal, etc.

There is a really good photo on the link he put in the top thread. I've got good photos of mine if you want to do it the old fashioned way...

Very cool. where are you mounting the ECM? I'm mounting mine in the cabin, but haven't sorted that out fully yet. Trying to find a good place with room to spare, and being able to insulate/isolate the thing. Should be able to make a SS bracket or two for it.

right now its more or less wedged in where the factory ECU is behind the stock shield. Obviously not all the bolts are in, but the thing isn't going anywhere. I do plan on modding the factory "foot shield" so that it bolts in completely and possibly placing some padding down behind the ecu in between the ecu and floor pan.

At first I was thinking..ahhh. idk, maybe under the passenger seat. Then I was like, NOPE, Mazda did a great job with the factory location and there the LS1 ECU will go.

Here is the link for the Drive by wire Harness...I'll be honest. I'm VERY glad I don't have that!! I really don't see the benefit. I do see the pain though.
