Slight buzzing or whine after changing steering wheel

I changed out the stock steering wheel for a Momo retro wheel. I got a plug and play Daikei hub. Could not figure where I could hook the ground and was in a big hurry so just left the ground wire inside the hub where it was touching the inside of the hub next to the main(21mm) wheel nut. When I started it up, all things worked as should except I got a slight whine or buzz coming from the dash. Was wondering if an intermittent ground connection could cause this buzz or whine. Not loud like a modern car warning buzz but just constant that is slightly audible over the 5.0 if sitting in the drivers seat. Does not sound if car is not running. Could be a coincidence but whenever I work on something and something changes, I think it is something I did. Again, not a loud one but I noticing it.

Update

I heard from the former owner and he said that when he tried to stop the blinking airbag light that the buzz started and quit when it was reinstalled and the light blinking. He said it has something to do with the computer reading the airbag or some sensor related to it. He has Jason's harness but could not find the source of the buzz when the airbag light was disconnected.
At least I know that it seems to be related to the airbag light and not the ground. Does anyone have any solutions in mind? Now I have the buzz and the blinking airbag light....

If you are doing away with the airbag, you probably need to place some sort of resistor in place of the missing airbag so the system thinks that there is a bag installed. See what the ohm reading is across the pins of your DISCONNECTED airbag & use that ohm resistor it its place.

Tbone,
Thanks and that makes sense. Just did not know if anyone had encountered this issue before. Thought the plug and play hub would take care if it but later realized that the air bag light was blinking prior to removing the stock steering wheel so, if it was not working prior is was unlikely that a plug and play hub that was designed to take care of it would work. Must have had a brain fart or getting old. Now need to find out why it was not working before.
Fortunately, with the exhaust the way it is, I can't really hear the buzz unless I really focus on it.
