Help!?!?!

I just got to start and drive the car for the first time today. It has a few little issues but the main one I can't figure out.

When I turn the key off the motor stays running. What did I do wrong?

What motor are you running? If it's a GM most likely the ECM swithced 12V wire is getting a constant 12V signal.
