Ford wiring harness question
 

This is probably a stupid question but I am stumped. How do you get the stupid bolt out of the plug that goes into the A9L computer? It won't fit through the firewall now, and if I carve my firewall out any more then the grommet won't fit...

CAREFULLY remove the RED plastic part off of the plug and remove the bolt and retainer. The red part locks the pins in place. Be sure not to knock any pins out. I would probably remove the boot instead and then tape it back on.

I will try removing the boot first, but I don't think that will give me enough space to feed the connector through. Thanks for the input.
