1992 Airbag / seatbelt wiring

I recently purchased the blue 92 from McCully racing, and am in the process of getting registered. I failed inspection because the Air Bag and seat belt lights do not illuminate when the key is turned on. The interior was replaced with a 2002 instrument cluster. Does anybody have the schematic for this cluster? I intend to build a one-shot timer to illuminate the light for the specified time (not sure what that is) and connect it to ignition power so I can get through inspection.

555 one shot timer. You can do some thing great with that chip.

Keep us updated. I plan to yank my airbag stuff since I'm changing steering wheels. I'd love to benefit from you working this out prior to me. Good luck!

(had no idea those lights not cycling would be an issue)

Thanks for the assist, Miata forums is a little gold mine. I have the manual for the 95, I think I may scan and contribute. The Air Bag diagnostic time is 6 seconds, so now that I know that I can make a little circuit. Need to go see what components I have in stock then I can make a parts list and scan the schematic in case anybody else wants to do the same thing.

Any updates? And are you really in Hawaii? Just wondering so we in the frozen tundra can properly hate you... ;)

Updates - yes... Actually it is not always the car guys that have the ideas. Talked to the yard guy and he laughed and said go to a different inspector. I did, and they don't all look at the same stuff. They checked all the exterior lights, and it was all done. On the way to the inspector, the rear view mirror fell off, so I stuck it in the glove box. No prob there either.

You are now free to hate about the country. And don't gimme this "cold tundra" stuff, it got all the way down to 67f the other night.
