How much life are you honestly getting from your tires?

So my car has around 2k miles on since I started driving it. This weekend I was going on a long day trip so I thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and rotate the tires. Now don't get me wrong, I definitely expected the rears to be quite a bit more worn than the fronts, but good lord......I'll be doing good from the looks of it to get another 1k miles out of them. Any other similar stories?

Another thing that was concerning to me is that I had considerable more wear on the inside of the tire than the outside....I'm guessing this is due to the car squatting hard when it is launched, any takers?

Think im gonna go ahead and snag a couple of the new maxxis tires for the rear.

wow! 3k miles is going to get expensive quick! My car isn't running yet so I can't comment but I do plan to run cheaper tires on the street and have a set of wheels/tires for racing

I had 245/45/16 tires on the rear for a while, with camber approx 1.5-2.0 degrees. It wore severely on the insides. I set the camber to "0" and the problem went away. I reversed the tires and ran them for quite a while that way.

My feeling is that unless you're running an autocross or track day the camber needs to be minimum for wide tires.
