15x11 available on 949 Racing
Anyone else get the update to new wheel sizes available?
15x11 6UL I was waiting for more 15x10 rims to come in to run 275's on, but may go 15x11. |
Could not stand it. I just ordered 2 15x11 rims for the rear of my car. I was leaning towards the Hoosier R6 275/35/15, but may look into other option for a wider tire on the 11in rim. I'll keep you posted.

Yep, I bought a set of tungsten 15x11's. Couldn't resist. I figure even if I don't use them, I could likely sell them for the same price once 949 sells out of them ;)

When my rims come in, Ill take them to Discount Tire and bother them with fitment stuff. They are usually patient when it comes to test fits.
Finding the right 15in tire is tough. From what I have seen, tire height is the issue. I know the 275/35/15 will fit: 275/35/15 = 23x10.8x15 or 23 in tall and 10.8 wide. 295/50/15 = 27x11.6x15 325/50/15 = 28x12.8.15 Looks like the 275 may be best. Not sure if the 27 or 28in tire will fit? For an 11in rim, this may be the best also. |
27" and 28" is way too tall for almost any ride height on a Miata. These wheels we're pretty much built for the 275/35's....and also drifters who want to stretch 205's on them.
24.5"-25" is about as tall as you can get away with and still run a decent ride height. |
Yep. Tires are stupid expensive though. Looks like $288 is the best I can find for the Hoosier R7s.

I really hope yall will post some fitment pics once you get them mounted!

I'll likely have them fitted for the CSP car long before I get around to flaring my car. Here's what 10's with the 275's look like on the NA CSP car. These are 3-Piece Bogarts but with the same offset and custom fenders. Will likely have to get the fenders reworked (probably just the fronts) for 11's...

Thats a very nice job on rolled and pulled fenders. NAs look so good in my opinion with flares, NBs not so much. I might do a slight pull on the rears on mine to fit a wider setup for special days.

similar concern - currently running 275's H's on 10's
definitely not " too much HP " as it's only an L33 maybe they're heat cycled out as I'm spinning the tires in 1st and 2nd and a little in 3rd coming out of the pits I agree the Hoosiers , at 27.5", are likely too tall and expensive to " test " I'd like to run 11's too I came across AVON's the chart wouldn't paste very well so here's the link 15" Historic slicks | Avon Motorsport thought's on the offset of the 11's ?

it appears that a 245 is the widest - did I miss something ?

If you're considering a DOT slick, you might as well run the Hoosiers. They have the 245/40-15 as well as a 275/35-15. They're expensive but a VERY grippy tire that's proven itself over many years.
