Weapy wiper squirts

So I had this brilliant idea to whip up a washer tank from an old bottle I had lying around and a Camaro washer pump.

Any suggestions for some bladder control on this mutt? |

Wouldn't that it flow more freely and make it worse? I was thinking of taking about 10 feet of tubing and coiling it up real tight to give it more drag.

Guess it depends on what's actually causing the flow. Is it fluid inertia from braking or the bottle deforming and pushing the fluid under pressure. Your assumption appears to be the former and mine was the latter. Or did you already test for this? edit...thinking about it...the pump likely acts as a petcock negating the effect I was assuming... You know what assume means... :yippee: |
Never thought about pressure in the bottle but that is a great point. I figured it was the 6 feet of horizontal steel line running along the frame rail that was enough to push the fluid up to the nozzles.
I may have to dig around and find a place up front after all... |
Washer pumps don't hold back fluid when the line is disconnected, it runs out freely.

Jim, it's those great big brakes you installed that are generating G forces so severe as to cause these unintended consequences. For a moderate sum I could fix you up with the well-used stock brakes off my '90 which will surely remedy any excess rate of deceleration!

I few Imodium tablets in the washer bottle should bind up "the squirts":naughty:.

I'm thinking the best solution is to reroute the nozzles to the back wheel wells for better burn outs! |
