shift lights

Does anyone have any experience with shift lights? I am leaning toward the sequential type. There are so many out there that I could use suggestions. Am also concerned with install issues.

I made my own. Simple block of aluminum scrap and some LED lights from Radio Shack.

Glow shift for me and I wouldn't leave home with out it. I used to run 2 of them but now I just let the rev limiter do it's job if I hang too long before a corner. Besides if you go much past the turn on point it blinks at you anyway.

My car has a Stewart Warner ultra-shift tach and shift light installed on top of the dash.

The digital tach was nice to have. The shift point were programmable, and it had a yellow cover to use it just as a shift light at night. The red LEDs were bright and distracting at night.

+1 to that mine will totally blind you at night. The good news is I rarely light it up much less at night. I really like the blue rather then yellow or red in the day time though!

Bought it from FM I believe, but you can get it overseas.. pricey but cool.
