Looked at a 1997 Canadian Miata today. Great shape, was wondering what are the differences between them and US models(besides the old style mirrors), are these cars OBD II and if so would that make for a difficult conversion....

 

If they are OBDII it does not matter if they do not need to be inspected as an OBDII car. What does your local emissions test include?

The car is in Florida which presently doesn't have emission testing. However it is possible that at some point the car could end up in NY. My main concern is how obd I system(EEC) from a Mustang wiring harness would sync up with the 97 Miata wiring. Hey Jason thanx for anwering up.
