OBD 2 Emissions In Georgia? How?
I am considering doing another V8 swap... This time with an NB (like a 2001 for example).
I am curious how people are getting their cars through emissions testing (these only do the plug in test and physical inspection?). Parallel ECUs?
Seems like the Miata VIN must be read when they do the OBD 2 connector plug in test.
I am contemplating either the LS or Ford engine at this point. Not committed to either yet.

Hi Mike.
i had to do this once with the car I had before I bought yours. I had cats on that car though. It was a ford 302 with Afr heads, x-303 cam, etc.
the guy at the emissions place did the visual and all was good. He didn't know what to do regarding the engine swap so he called someone (the state, or somebody) who told him to put in the vin and test it as a Miata. If it passed it passed.
well, it passed with flying colors.....
i I think as long as your swap runs clean and has cats, you should be just fine....
