adding a clutch pedal
In the early Miata's, what does it take to switch from an auto to a 5 speed? After the clutch pedal and slave cylinder are added?

Auto to Manual
Looking to build a V-8 miata. Have a 91 GT lined up for parts. and now looking for a Miata. Lots of auto out there if it don't add a lot of work I can avoid.

It should be an easy swap. Easier than installing a V-8.

Mine was an auto before my swap. Its easy to add the clutch pedal and I used a Pontiac Fierro master cylinder and Nissan 280Z slave cylinder. The hard part was the hydraulic clutch line and I had one made up from a hydraulic shop which was kind of spendy. I purchased the clutch pedal from ISellMiataParts.com

Hey guys does the clutch pedal have a stationary shaft that supports both the brake and clutch pedal in the hanger? I am converting my C4 to T5 and havent looked at a manual pedal setup before.

No the clutch pedal assembly is independent of the brake/gas assembly and is held in with about 5 bolts. If you can take the parts off the donor car yourself so you see how they go back in. Unless you are over 6 feet and 200 lbs it is very easy to mount in the car
