Temp exhaust for Monster Kit

I knocked up a little temp exhaust system to allow me to play with the car a little bit before getting the real exhaust. It's all made from stuff from Autozone. It allows me to run closed loop by providing a place for my O2 sensors to plug into. It honestly has made me start thinking about what I could do with one of those universal side pipe kits? What it really needs to work is a long skinny glass pack for more ground clearance and for them to be mounted in such a way as to burn the hell out of your calves in you are not careful. I have side exhaust (Shelby style) on my '67 mustang and it is like you are ridding a rocket at full throttle.

I seriously considered running side pipes as well. I wanted to notch the front fenders at the bottom for the pipe to come around and basically cover up the rocker panel leaving barely enough space for the doors to open over the top of them. That would let the car stay low. Tire diameter in front and a need for the car to be reasonable low eventually steered me to the more "traditional" Monster exhaust.

Ya I kind of have my doubts about getting it to work. Sure is a shame. Martins headers dump the exhaust out in a great spot for side pipes. I am sure it could be made to work. I am not sure I want to go to the effort to make it work. We will see. Going to be fun testing it though!
