Martin's header flange
Well, the saga of my exhaust continues.)
I know little of putting a custom exhaust together, and even less about welding up my own, so I farmed the job out to a pro mechanic acquaintance who does "extra" work out of his home shop. He said it would be no problem for him to do up my exhaust just the way I want it. It's been there for 8 weeks now. To be fair, the first month there was a sudden injury & subsequent death in his family that happened the day after I got the car out to him. So, that pretty much took care of the first month. I got a progress report today. He has the front pipes bent up, but the local Napa keeps sending the wrong flanges and gaskets to him. He thinks the next ones they send will be the right ones, then he can get it finished up. I'm in Canada, so things may be a little different here as far as what parts are readily available, but is there something special about the size or shape of Martin's flanges that would make them difficult to obtain? Can someone send me link to something that would work, just in case we still don't have the right ones by next week. Summit ships overnight to Canada. I want this thing on the road a month ago!! |

Thank you.

Link above is for mustang pipes between h pipe and muffler. Are you looking for 3 bolt header flange?
|
Yes, header flange. I presume the one linked is to be cut and welded to the S-pipe(pretzel pipe).

https://www.v8miata.net/attachment.p...ine=1435861763 3 bolt flange would be for a header other than that sourced from Martin https://www.v8miata.net/attachment.p...ine=1435861619 Check your header flange to make sure you have a two or three bolt flange. Bill S. |

My Martin headers are 3 bolt as well.
|
Mine are as well. They are just a standard 2.5" collector flange. I think I have extras.http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g4756/overview/

That's what I thought. Thanks

Using copper collector gaskets & lock nuts will save you from using many cuss words in the future.
