FM prototype exhaust is here!
Elvis just arrived, sporting his new prototype exhaust. I have some video/sound clips I'll put online shortly. It sounds great.
Specifications: 1.5" primaries, not equal length. 2.5" exhaust tubing. 2 metallic core cats, 2 resonators, V-band connections (I think the band clamps in front of the resonators are on the prototype only, I'm not 100% sure there), dual pipes up to a custom muffler that acts as a balance tube. There are removable inserts in the tips to make it quieter. All stainless steel, lifetime warranty. Pricing will follow once available. We're going to test-fit this set on an NA car to make sure it works on the older shell, then they'll go into production after final fixturing. http://www.flyinmiata.com/projects/L...43bv8zorst.jpg http://www.flyinmiata.com/projects/L...s/img_5512.jpg |
That's a fine looking system.

That sounds amazing! I will be interested to hear the cost, and any reports on how loud it is on the highway or around town.
Mmmmm...
im curious if it will work with my boss frog kit :) can someone email me the video? the navy blocks youtube while on deployment.... "MEGANC@LHA4.NAVY.MIL"
I have no idea if it will fit a Boss Frog kit, sorry.
yeah, only thing id be worried about is the exhaust routing around the rear end... im sure it'd prob fit otherwise
No H or X pipe?
I will assume that the muffler acts as the x or h pipe mixing the pulses. Just further down?
Exactly. The muffler acts as the balance pipe.
