Piece An LS together or Cop a Pullout?

What the title says.

I'm boutta put an LS of some kind in my MSM. I don't really care which one, I just want a beefy little fuck of a car and I want to make mad V8 noises.

Is it really that much more work to just piece a motor together than to buy an LS1 out of a Corvette for like $2000?

I'm obviously going to take it apart and inspect everything and do a full rebuild on it, so it seems like I could just buy everything separately since so many people get into projects they can't finish. It just worries me about all the tiny little parts you don't think about that'll add up.

Like specific length bolts for the water pump and all the fasteners for all the accessories.

What do you think? Is it worth paying more for a complete engine even if I have to go though it and pay a little more for the package deal?

IMO, it's worth it to buy a complete pull out drive train. I received and/trans, wiring harness, ECU, gas pedal, driveshaft, and some other stuff I needed. You get all the bolts, fasteners, wires, etc, that you might need. And you see how it all goes together.
