TKO 600 alignment question

Hi guys I’m starting to feel a little silly asking all these questions about a car I don’t even have yet but here goes another. I’m almost done building the engine (6.0l iron block LS) and now I’m starting to look at the transmission options to go behind it. I leaning toward the TKO 600 for several reasons, 1) my engine will be putting out about 450 ft/lb so the tranny will handle that, 2) it’s lighter than a T56 which will help offset the weight of the iron block, 3) it’s smaller than the T56 and 4) it’s cheaper than the T56 (but not by much) so here’s my question. I’ve read several posts that say the T56 shifter lines up perfectly with the OEM shifter hole in the trans tunnel. How about the TKO 600 shifter, will it line up also?

Thanks

According to Tremec's brochure, looking at the GM versions with the shifter in the most rearward position, the T-56 positions the shift tower 0.8" further rearward than the TKO. This is by comparing the measurements from the forward tip of the input shaft to the center of the shift towers. http://www.tremec.com/anexos/File/TR...erformance.pdf

Thanks for getting the info for me, I was looking on the American Powertrain site and could not find the measurements.
