Removing Diff from a '97 Cougar?
I used to have some directions on how to remove the diff from a T-Bird/Cougar, but unsure what happened to them? I found a '97 Cougar at my local LKQ junkyard, that I'm going to attempt to go to this weekend and remove the diff, ( if it's not already gone), and assuming I can use that year Cougar diff in my future 5.0 swap? Unsure if it's a 7.5 or 8.8, judging by the provided pics? If it's there and I can actually remove it, do I need to cut the axles in 2, so I'll have the diff side CV joints?
Also, what's the Lincoln year/model diff I can use? Is it a Mark VII 89-97? Thank you! Jason |
Any year MARK VIII should have a 8.8.
