Need bolt torque specs for Ford 8.8 diff install
 

I have a Ford Explorer IRS diff that I am reinstalling in the Miata today. This is the 8.8" 31-spline all-aluminum independent rear suspension differential used in the 2002+ Ford Explorer. I need the bolt torques for the following:
Rear cover bolts (bolts around the edge of the rear cover, about 10-12 of them)
Rear mount bolts (the two bolts on the rear mount wings, hold the diff to the frame)
Driveshaft bolts (the four bolts that attach the driveshaft yoke to the pinion flange)

I have been digging around on the net and have not found them yet, including at that one Ohio library server with the online service manuals. I also posted at mt.n in the conversion section but did not get an answer. I'm hoping someone here knows them.

If anyone is interested, I just had this diff freshly rebuilt with a new Eaton (Detroit) Truetrac, a set of 3.55 gears, and all new bearing, seals, races, etc.. Previously it had an open diff (FTL) and 3.73 gears (not quite enough maybe for really fast road courses). It was also suffering from the well known noisy Explorer diff issue that resulted in a big recall.

This new setup should be much, much better. I cannot wait to try it out. This is going in my road-racing oriented 94 M-Edition with the LS1/T56/8.8 conversion.

i dont think you will find those figures. try standard tourqe specs per bolt size.
