Has anyone successfully used 1994-1995 T5 bell housing with hydraulic slave cylinder?
 

Hello. New guy here.

I have a question regarding the T5 from a 94-95 V8 or 94-04 3.8 V6 which has a longer input shaft and requires the 94-95 5.0 Bell housing which are pricy. However, a T5 from a 94-04 3.8 V6 are readily available for a low price and will right the 94-95 5.0 Bell housing. Also compared to the foxbody bell housing, the fork is angled differently on the SN95 bell housing.

The biggest concern I have is the throw on clutch salve cylinder because as you can see, the clutch fork on the SN95 T5 (V8 or V6) is much longer than the fox body.

Hay anyone successfully used 1994-1995 bell housing with hydraulic slave cylinder?

I sold one of those bell housings to a member here, "SIX", a couple years ago. Not sure if it is up & running.

I drilled a hole on the bell housing and looks like the Miata Slave might work with it. The clutch fork on SN95 is longer but the location of the slave puts it further in on the fork so I think it would be fine.

As far as the Master is concerned, I believe I need one from a 1986 Toyota Land Curiser which 3/4" bore.

Attachment 505I used a 95 T-5 bell housing and trans from a 5.0 Mustang GT. I had to square off the angle bracket to mount the slave cylinder to the bell housing. I used the master cylinder that came with the Monster Miata kit. The clutch works quite well. You will have to drill a new hole in the clutch fork. It's hardened steel so you will need good drill bits.

That looks good jonbob. Since I already made a hole on the bell housing, I am going to try to install it through the hole so I can clean up and install a cover. Yes you are correct, the fork is hard but I do have carbide drill bits.

If you look at your master, it should say 7/8 or 3/4. Can you please verify ?

I'd get a piece of threaded rod to use as a pushrod. Having the extra adjustability helps get it just right.

With the hole drilled that far in you should get some awesome movement at the clutch.
