Default The quest for cheap axles

So I'm trying to see just how cheap I can make a 7.5 or 8.8 diff turn the wheels on my miata. I have heard that 90s town and country axles have the same outer cv spline pattern as miata hubs and that they also have the same 32 spline as the 7.5 or 8.8 diff. Has anyone tried them or found any more info on them?
My other option is possibly cutting the miata axle and mating it to a tbird axle with a welder and a steel tube. I' trying to avoid that option if I can but I am not spending 1000 bucks on axles there has to be another way.
I also thought of using camber adjustable control arms to move the hub out to fit the thirds extra length but even if this works I would still need tbird hubs and have them machined to fit the miata bearing. Any and all advise is welcome also this is my first post on here so exuse me if I have asked stupid questions just can' seem to find a sure fire method that dosent require selling my soul. Thanks!

Just remember that whatever you use, it will be spinning at high RPM"s, inches from your back and the fuel tank, if it decides to let loose. Choose the areas to save money wisely.
