General areas of concern

I'm using the BossFrog kit for my conversion kit but using an LT1 383 stroker Small Block. Ric from BossFrog has been great about responding to my questions about mounts, etc. I am assuming that the wiring for the LT1 will be vastly less complicated than an LS motor but I do have some general questions for the group......1. will stock guages work? 2. Has anyone installed the Power Steering (I intend to). If so any problems? 3. Motors I can do.....rearends I don't know didily.....What EXACTLY is involved in using the BF stage 2 axles with a Ford 8.8. I want 3.90 gears and posi-traction. I believe I will have to obtain the ring and pinion seperately as well as the Posi-traction mechanism and have someone install all of that for me..correct? Stage 2 axles require a certain type of shock/spring for clearence...any suggestions? I don't want a coilover.

I'm trying to get answers to all of these questions ahead of time to avoid as many problems as possible. My T56 is being delivered today. I start stripping the car this weekend. I plan to work from back to front with the actual conversion because of the expense. The motor is coming from Automotix: 383 with all the goodies, 500hp, 480ftlb torque for $5200.00....I'll have to save a little doe for that but I can begin with everything else.

I know this is a bunch to ask but I really want the benefit of others experience. Thanks, Tony

I can only really answer your guage question. If you use the Mazda oil pressure and Water temp senders in the GM block they should work fine. Just find adapters for the threads if you need to and extend each wire to it's new location. If the engine has a coil (I believe it does) you should be able to make the tach work the same way us Ford guys do it. Your fuel guage is, of course, in no way an issue.
