DSS MZFD35 axle kit
 

Hey guys. This is the kit that I will be using. They are built to order, so I won't see them until April sometime, but I am wondering if anybody here is using these and if so, your impressions. Driveshaft Shop has a good reputation, so I am hoping that these are worth the $$.

Id've thought the 600hp kit would have been plenty, no? Any reason you went with the 900hp version? Seems like a nice plug and play kit though for us Cobra/Tbird 8.8 guys....

Dave, I considered the 600hp axles, but my engine build morphed into something that I hadn't originally planned on, and it may end up being something a lot more potent. I don't want to even think about my axles if I have a little wheel hop.

Anyway, they showed up earlier than expected and I had the chance to inspect the kit yesterday. These axles are massive, and heavy(55# for the kit). Everything is pretty impressive, and a new set of ARP studs came with it. The pic doesn't do these justice.

And Monsters don't come with the cool sticker either! Looks GREAT!

hi - do these clear the shocks with those blue boots on the outer cvs ?
or do you need to relocate the shocks outward ?

By my measurements, yes. It will be some time before I install them though.
