differental cover bracket
differential cover bracket is hitting the subframe, causing vibrations to come up through the floor, and causing a clunking, every time I let out the clutch, should I notch out the bracket,i am not sure what to do.

What type of diff bushings are you using? The first car I built did this when I tried to reuse the original bushings. I replaced them and the front two with urethane and the issue went away.
Just to be on the safe side though I bashed the subframe in a little with a BFG in that spot on all the subsequent builds I did. -Jason |
I put new bushings on the bracket and installed new polyurethane on the front, should I notch the bracket, where it is hitting on the frame.
|
I installed washers on the top of the front bushings,to bring the pinion shaft down, because of a vibration, thats when it started to hit the frame.

Don't notch the frame, just dent it in a little. A combination of two small dents and taking a little material off the diff hanger should solve the problem.
Did you solve the vibration issue? -Jason |
