Corvette T56 transaxle

Has anyone used the transaxle T56 from a C5 Corvette for a LSx Miata? What would it take to make it happen? Would the weight distribution make it worth the trouble?

Welcome to the forum. Short answer is it won't fit. The bulk of the tranny is ahead of the ring and pinion, which puts it approximately where your butt sits.

Thanks cvx! That makes sense, now that I think about it. I'm used to looking at the bottom of a 95 Camaro, quite a bit larger vehicle in comparison.
