95 Mustang GT 5.0 driveline
Has anyone tired to use the front driveline on a 95 Mustang GT 5.0. I know you need a modified fox mustang ac bracket to retain the power steering but will that work with the existing alternator, smog pump and idler pulley? or does everything have to be swapped to fox brackets?

From what I have read, SN-95 accessories are better because of the tighter configuration. They ride closer to the block and the water pump snout doesn't stick out so far. Also, found on Ford Thunderbirds from roughly 91 on. There's a similar version on the explorers using the same timing cover and short style water pump but different accessories. You almost can't get the Fox water pump to fit and to use any Fox brackets without it would require fabricated pulleys.

I'm using a 1995 for my swap, you can look at my picture. But i remove all the pump on it.

SEBZ, I looked at the pictures. I was concerned the alternator would be too high. It looks like it will be ok. I am interested in keeping the AC and Power steering though. I guess I'll have to work that out.

I'm sure you find a way to make all the stuff work!
My car was more for fun, so i remove all, i also bypass the heater hose. If you need more picture let me know i can take some. |
AC is the biggest issue when going with the short Ford stuff. Some people have made up thier own bracket to mount it under the passenger side front of the engine (where the smog pump would be on a fox).
