8.8 axles

I just sourced an 8.8 from an 1997 t-bird.
What is the easiest and most cost effective axle solution?
I am a machinist with ability to machine anything.
If it is easier and cost effective to buy from (martain) Please let me know.
Thanks Craig
Does anyone know how to decode this tag?

That tag means you've got an open 3.27 8.8. Would be suitable to use to put a torsen or trac loc in. But as of now it's open and will only spin one tire, not very ideal for a performance car.

As far as axles I'm of no help there.

Thanks Steve,
I am planning on getting a eaton locker and after some research I am going with the The Level 3 kit includes Ford 8.8-28 spline inner CV’s, 4340 half-axle bars, D outer CV’s and new hubs broached to match the outer CV’s (500HP).
from Boss Frog.
I will also go with Ford racing 3.55 gear set.

Are you using BFs diff mount too?

I don't know if it was just my bad luck but I could not get 3.55 ford racing gears to set right and couldn't use them in the T bird diff. The ford racing guy I talked to swears they will fit all 8.8s but they were not usable for me. Motives were better but still not dead on. The saga is here:Jim and Jenna build diary, Miata LS1 Conversion: Hey does this rear end make me look fat?

The motive set up is here: http://jimsmiata.blogspot.com/2013/0...f-welding.html

I might use the BF diff setup but have been considering modifying my diff mount myself with this gentlemen's instruction :) MiataV8 Conversion: Rear subframe
just haven't gone there yet.

I have installed thousands of the Ford gear sets in many ratios & sizes. Maybe you needed more beer. LOL!! :hah:
