What Power steering lines - Monster Kit from Martin

I have Martins option that adds the Miata power steering pump to the ford A/C bracket. Does this setup just run the stock Miata p/s lines? I got the ides some place that I have to shorten the lines maybe? I posted a question to Martin, but I thought I would ask here also. Thanks I am also thinking I will eliminate the P/S cooling loop as it interferes with the front mounted fans Martins kit provides.

It just so happens that I installed my PS lines last night. I used Martin's bracket and modified the lines as follows...

The low pressure line from the pump to the reservoir will need to be shortened about 4 -5 inches at the reservoir end. The high pressure line from the pump reaches the PS rack fine. I removed the PS cooling loop as well. You will have to buy another piece (about 18 inches) of the low pressure hose that will go between the banjo bolt extension from the PS rack to the reservoir.

Hope this helps...

Thanks Den that helps a lot. Are the lines you describe modifying and making just "cut to length" hose and hose clamped together?

Yup, that's it... the high pressure hose did not need to be replaced or modified...

I used the Mazda pressure hose & added a p/s cooler like this Derale 13309, Derale Series 7000 Universal Tube & Fin Coolers | Derale.
