Tie Rod End - is there really a difference

HI Guys I'm starting to put the front suspension back into my project and I went on RockAuto to get some new tie rod ends and I was surprised to see that they range from $15 to $51 a piece. Is there really that much of a difference between brands?

Not sure about the brands. I went with Mazda replacement ones -- Miata R package/ LE package ones that allow for more suspension camber.

Coming from a tech, yes there are differences. We use MOOG at work alot, they've usually got the best warranty too.

But like he said the Mazda R package ones are designed to eliminate bumpsteer on moderately lowered vehicles (lowering springs or slight drop on coilovers) They wouldn't be very effective on slammed cars though.

+1 to MOOG. 40 years of wrenching and it's the only brand I would put in my car. I had to cut about a 1/4 off the end of each one because they bottomed out before I could get my toe which was surprising but no biggie.
