A few years ago, I went to FM and bought a bunch of used suspension parts, from a single '95 donor

I cleaned them up, put in new bushings, and got them installed

Fast forward a couple of years. Now I'm replacing the upper ball joints. I bought a set from Autozone, and pressed them into the arms. BUT.... of course, they don't fit right. The stud is not long enough to get the castle nut in place. Now I'm wondering if I really have '95 spindles. Are they really 2000? Or did I just get a crappy set of ball joints?

Can anyone ID these spindles?

Really? More than 50 people looked at this, and no one has an idea? Wow, I hate it when I stump the experts. :)

I'll send these pics to FM and see what they say. My opinion is that I just bought some bad replacement parts. I'm almost sure they're 94-97 spindles. Almost. Well, kinda sure. :)

I'll let you know what they say.

And the answer is...…. (drum roll, please)………. NB! Thank you Mike Usrey at Flyin' Miata. Once more saving the day.

The more business I do with FM, the happier I am. :)
