So how do you keep the Unworthy out???

I know the unacceptable spam posts are frustrating for the site administration, what's the solution. Money? Do the members need to step up or is there sufficient advertising revenue for filters or full time mentoring?

On second thought, doesn't matter what the solution is,,, just so their is one.

Excuse my briefness or any typing errors I may make in the following post, I'm typing with one thumb. on my phone while traveling out of town. Your concern is important and I wanted to answer it asap.
We had a situation where somehow the joining filters got set very low. We caught it, and Nolan fixed them. Since that point, non-legit users have not been joining. Unfortnatly, some hundred or so may have been able to join before that point. I personally have spent a good 20 hours or so over the last three weeks deleting these users and anyone else from their ISP's as they try to post. We've got most of them at this point but there are still some that exist. Short of rescreening every existing member I can think of no other way of handling this. I am a full time teacher with a 18 month old daughted, a home buisiness, another child on the way and am enrolled full time in a grad program. Please be pacient, I promise that I and the rest of the mods here are doing our best to eliminate any spam that may pop up but be aware that it still may from time to time.
Thanks everyone

The down side of the interweb. Some have a need to make a nuisance of themselves. The time and work required to deal with this needless time sucking sport is understood and appreciated. Good luck Jason.

On a closing note, man you do have a full schedule! The wife and I are getting our grandson (2.9 year old) for the first time next week for 3 days. I'm both looking forward to this special time and feeling a little angst, haven't had a 3 year old around for more than a couple hours in decades. Can hardly remember 18 months, other than it's a great (in hindshight :)
