Default Questions about LS Miata setup for 1/4 mile and autocross use.

My LS1 build is in it's final stages so I am beginning to question if there is anything specifically that I need to do while putting it all back together in order to be able to take the car to the local 1/4 mile drag strip or to be able to do a bit of autocrossing with it. Hallett road racing track is only about 20 miles away from me so I might even try to do one of the touring events there. The world is wide open and I don't want to cause myself problems down the road if there is something that really needs to be done to make the car pass safety inspection for the various venues available to me. It is actually just a daily driven street car so I don't want to do anything to compromise daily drivability and I really want to keep the car as close to stock looking as possible.

First thing is the necessity of a roll bar. It is my understanding that I will need to add a proper certified roll bar in order to pass safety inspection for the Autocross event or to run at the road course.
Right or wrong?
If one is necessary, what certification do I need to look for?

For the drag strip I don't believe I need a roll bar to pass safety inspection since I expect the car to run in the 12's. For truth I doubt I will actually take it to the track as I have a nice fast 2015 Mustang GT that should go just as fast with zero safety inspection issues.

Any other specific requirements that I need to know about or things that need to be added to the car? I want to be able to drive up, hand them my money, pass safety inspection, then have fun with my Miata.

Next question, what classification will I be put in at local autocross events?
Since this is a much higher performance engine swap I am wondering if they might put me in with the track prepped dedicated race cars.

One thing I am in the middle of doing with my build is adding front and rear tow points. On the front I am adding two L shaped brackets that are welded to the front steel of the car so that I can flat tow the car in case I feel like dragging it behind my truck to an event in the future, or the more likely probability of needing to tow it home if it breaks down. I also have a rear tow hook attachment that I bought from Moss Miata that will get welded in place after I install the exhaust system so that I can make sure there are no interference problems.
