Try EBAY. Just type in FORD ECM in the search window.

Well that is the problem. I was hoping one of the ford guys on out site had a know working computer that came out of a running car. I am very suspect of the ebay stuff. I have a used one that I bought when I first did my build and it did not work. I am on my second and it may be faulty as I have some intermitant fast idle issues that I belevie is coming from the computer. Trying to get back to basics and try anotherone that is know to be good. Again, 1987 to 1993 manual transmission 9AL is what I am looking for. Thanks for the advise.

AutoZone will sell you one for around $100 with a 12 month warrentee. You'll have to trade in your's as a core but if the one you pick up does not work just keep taking it back until you get a good one.

Before you decide it's bad make sure you run both a KOEO test and a KOER test. You'd be surprised how much havock one small bad sensor somewhere can cause. Ether of those tests will let you know if something is amiss.

Also, I see you're running a larger throttle and EGR spacer with a stock Mass air tube. The throttle and ERG spacer you're using looks to me to be at least 65mm units. That stock mass air tube narrows down to like 40mm. I've never had that situation on any of my builds but it may be causing some confusion between the throttle positioning sensor and the Mass air meter. If you have the stock egr spacer and throttle you may want to try swapping them back on and seeing if your problems go away. If they do, swap the other stuff back on and get yourself a 70 or so mm mass air tube. At the very least you're invalidating the gains of the throttle and EGR by using that mass air.

A VERY cheap 72mm mass air can be had by:
1.Picking a 72mm tube from a mid-90's T-bird.
2.Swapping it's air meter for one from a 5.0 explorer (make sure it has 19lb injectors). Make sure to get a "pigtail" of wire with it.
3.Cutting off the mass air plug from your MRM-modified harness and replacing it with the one from the Explorer.

All this can be done for under $30 and will get you the same results as a $200 C&L unit.
