I went to Hallett last June as spectator and to get look at AI as was entertaining entering that melee. Was surprised at lack of spectator turnout as only one other couple in grandstand. All others were driver support, or family and friends. My intentions were to redo a 1st gen mustang, but complete suspension conversion, plus aging rusting unibody and sheet metal caused me pause as rules require "original" floor pans with no substitutions (without protest.) If they going to be that picky, thanks ,but no. My interest eventually evolved to the Miata after learning of their great handling capabilities. And the fact I have several sbf engines laying about from 289s to 351s. How did you like Hallett? Did "The Bitch" give you warm welcome and elevate your pucker factor a tad? Most, as I understand, consider her "remarkable" and "memorable." How did the event go as a whole for you? Get back if you wish, either open or PM. Tom |
