Found 1

Found my T56...complete. Found what appears to be a Great site for engines and transmissions. I'll let you know how great they are when the trans is delivered. It was a little more than I wanted to pay but shipping is free and delivery to my door. Out of 1998 Z28, 60,000 miles...$1700.00

If I understand correctly; you found the engine and trans for $1700.00 delivered to your door. If that's the case, please keep us informed. It sounds like a really good deal.

Thanks,

If you are running it with an LT1, you have to change the front case and input shaft. Look for one from a 94-97 if you have an LT1 (93's were not a good year for the 6 speed)

http://mcleodracing.com/ sells a 1/2" spacer that fits between the bell and the tranny to adapt the LS t56 to and LT1. When I ordered it from them the tech guy told me that I didn't need anything else, except for a 1" bore master cylinder to push the stock hydraulic throw out bearing (slave cylinder). To make a long story short I put it all to gether pressed the pedal and forced the slave cylinder piston past it's limits and dumped brake fluid all ove my new clutch. He failed to tell me that I needed to make a 1/2" shim to put behind the slave. So I made a spacer (I don't know if mcleod sells one) put it all back together and relized that the clutch pedal was so hard that my leg was tired after a anhour woprth of driving and my wife could hardly push it. So I tried a 7/8" bore master. It was better, but still not that easy. So ordered a 3/4" bore Howe master and the pedal feels just a touch stifer than stock.
