Pipe Dreams
I'm Corey. I have a '94 Turbo. I want a V8 NB.
I just got a job as an engineer, so sometime this winter I want to try to buy a nice NB, then start saving up for the swap. I haven't done any real research yet so I don't have any kind of budget, but I plan to find the money to do this properly. Goals for my project: NB (preferably '01+) Aluminum GM V8 at least 300whp, with room for more without going FI Amazing noise Autocross handling |
Eddlebrock has a carb, intake, distributor gear, and msd, total kit now for the LS1. I don't now how much though.

No. Does the LS1 still use a distributor?
Disclaimer: I don't condone putting carburetors on anything more advanced than a chainsaw. And even then only if there is absolutely no space to mount a MegaSquirt on one. |
Yeah I do not know why anyone in their right mind would remove electronic (tunable stock ecu) port fuel injection and a solid-state dedicated ignition coil setup for a distributor and a carburetor. That would be a serious downgrade.

They had some extra goodies and made like 600hp. For people who don't like all the wiring and sensors. But I'm sure it probably isn't cheap, and sucks gas. |
