Newbie questions about L92

Hi, just thought I'd make my first post in this section. I don't own a Miata (yet), but I know that I will be looking for a new project soon. This is very tempting and from the research I did doable with my skills. I was wondering about the L92 as a potential swap candidate, there seem to be a few around in my neck of the woods. Can someone confirm what would have to be done to this engine to make it fit and work in a Miata? I heard lower car manifold instead of truck version, all accessory drive brackets and the belt to be changed to car version (why? Truck brackets too wide?), VVT needs to be disabled (why?), should be converted to cable throttle, different oil pan (which?). Anything else?
Thanks, appreciate your responses!

L92 is a nice engine.

Car intake manifold for hood clearance (plus it looks way better than the truck one).

Car accessory drive brackets and accessories because they sit much closer to the front of the engine. The truck stuff is a few inches further out the front and there just is no room for that, at all. Don't forget, you will need the matching harmonic balancer for whatever front drive setup you choose.

To keep the GM ECU running the VVT you will need to keep the drive by wire throttle body. No big deal, just mount the matching GM drive by wire throttle pedal in place of the original Miata one.

Most people either use a custom made oil pan (v8 roadsters) or the F-body LS1 oil pan. The truck pan is way too deep.
